Pour rappel, en mai 2017, les Calaminois s’étaient rendus au Svenska Gymnasium, un établissement suédophone situé en Finlande. Ce cadre linguistique rappelle quelque peu celui de notre école, les deux institutions se caractérisant par leur appartenance à une minorité linguistique.

En ce mois d’octobre 2017, ce fut donc au tour de nos élèves de rendre la pareille. Au programme : visite de notre école, excursion à Leuven, découverte d’une exposition à Eupen et participation à un tour guidé du centre historique d’Aix-la-Chapelle.

Unser Besuch in Kelmis war sehr interessant. Wir kannten die belgischen Schülern schon seit dem letzten Schuljahr. Jetzt war es ein frohes Wiedersehen. Das Programm hat mir gut gefallen. Es war auch interessant das Schulsystem und den Unterricht kennenzulernen. Ich bin zufrieden mit der Reise und besonders mit meiner netten Gruppe. Für meine Sprachstudien war der Besuch wichtig. Belgium is a very beautiful country with a large language diversity. I noticed quite quickly that Belgians are very kind and thoughtful people, and they take care of you if you have any kind of problems. When I was there, I got to see all kinds of lovely places and cities. I learned a lot about the country and its culture, and everyone involved in this project took good care of each other, you never felt "lost". The food tasted amazing and there were a lot of activities to take part in. I hope I´ll visit Belgium again! (Elin Ahlberg)

The best part of my trip to Belgium were the people. They were so welcoming and the family took care of you as if you were part of it for real. I have never experienced anything like this. I’m really thankful that I was part of it, and I hope that one day I will be able to return the favour. (Matilda Lindroos)

On the trip to Belgium we got to see lots of interesting and funny places. We learned about both Belgium as a whole and the German speaking community. We did different funny things with our host families and made friends with the Belgian students. I would totally recommend this course to anyone even a bit interested. (Benjamin Bergan)

La semaine passée en compagnie des élèves finlandais m’a vraiment bien plu! Le tour guidé à Louvain était très impressionnant. Je n’avais jamais visité cette ville et j’ai été positivement surpris par la beauté de l’architecture. Un autre moment inoubliable fut notre soirée bowling à Welkenraedt car tout au long de celle-ci nous avons bien rigolé. Au début du séjour de nos amis finlandais, ce ne fut pas facile de parler et de penser en anglais. Toutefois, peu à peu, nous nous sommes exprimés de plus en plus spontanément. J’ai apprécié la semaine et j’espère revoir certains amis finlandais l’an prochain. (Maxime Ortmans)

Participer à cet échange avec les élèves Finlandais m’a permis d’enrichir mon bagage culturel et de bien m’amuser. J’ai apprécié passer du temps entre jeunes. Le premier contact ne fut peut-être pas facile mais rapidement tout le monde se mit à l’aise et un véritable esprit de groupe se créa. Montrer ma région aux Finlandais constitua une véritable redécouverte de mon propre pays. (Kevin Colen)

Für mich war der Austausch eine sehr gute Erfahrung. Trotz leichten Schwierigkeiten mit der Umstellung auf eine andere Sprache hatten wir alle eine gute Zeit zusammen, die wir so schnell nicht vergessen werden. Am besten hat mir der Ausflug nach Leuven gefallen, da ich zuvor noch nie in dieser Stadt war und wir dort viel Neues gesehen, aber auch gelernt haben. (Robin Kaulmann)

Die gemeinsame Woche war eine gute Erfahrung. Zu Beginn war die Umstellung ins Englisch eine Herausforderung, doch auch diese konnten wir meistern. Besonders hat mir der Ausflug nach Leuven gefallen: man hat viel Neues entdeckt und gelernt. (Rafau Roncaletti)
Der Schüleraustausch war eine sehr schöne Erfahrung, um eine andere Nation und Kultur kennenzulernen. Das Programm war abwechslungsreich und gut organisiert. Leider fand ich den Austausch mit Finnland zu kurz. (Nils Steinweg)
